The Summer heat is not letting up anytime soon so why not enjoy a little refreshing day drinking with a whiskey Summer breeze? If you’re tired of mimosas at brunch or if you’re not really a champagen drinker, then this is the new replacement. I personally love a good boozy mimosa brunch, however, champagne makes me feel super bloated after so I’m always open to an alternative.
The whiskey Summer breeze combines orange juice, ginger ale, whiskey, and orange bitters to create a classic summertime cocktail. My favorite thing about this drink is that it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients that you have to go out of your way to get. These are everyday items that you may already have in your kitchen but just never thought to combine them. Adding the orange bitters to this recipe helps to tone down any overpowering sweetness that you may encounter. I personally don’t like an overly sweet cocktail so the bitters really give it a nice balance.
Because it has a subtle sweetness to it, you don’t taste the whiskey which could be dangerous because you’ll definitely feel it. Switch things up at your next brunch and try out this super simple cocktail recipe. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!
