Whiskey Peach Cocktail

whiskey peach cocktail

2 oz whiskey

.5 oz simple syrup

Ginger beer to fill

Step 1: In a shaker glass add 2 slices of peaches and 3 mint leaves and gently muddle until soft.

Step 2: Add in the whiskey, simple syrup, and ice. Shake until the shaker becomes frosty.

Step 3: Strain the shaker into a glass with ice. Fill the remainder of the glass with ginger beer and garnish with a slice of peach and some mint.

I only have one word for the whiskey peach cocktail…fresh! I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate fruit into my cocktails. Afterall, it makes me feel like I’m being a bit healthier. So when I realized that I hadn’t tried peaches yet I knew I had to. The peaches are really the only sugar you need in this drink but the simple syrup adds a nice finish. Then adding the mint combined with the ginger beer gives it that crisp taste on your tongue that almost makes you forget you’re drinking an alcoholic beverage.

With Memorial Day coming up, the whiskey peach cocktail is going to make a perfectly refreshing poolside cocktail that will keep your guests wanting more. It’s also one of those creeper drinks that if you’re not careful, you can get buzzed from very quickly because you don’t taste the alcohol. With the potent mint and fruity peaches, you have the complimentary crisp taste that people will crave on a hot day. Not to mention, the peaches make a great side dish that people can pick at while they’re drinking.

I highly recommend this if you’re looking for something light to sip on during your day drinking activities this Memorial Day weekend. It won’t get you full the way beer or spiked seltzers will and it won’t get you drunk fast the way liquor shots will. So take it easy and enjoy a whiskey peach with lots of ice. Cheers!
