Strawberry lemonade is a classic favorite Summer drink of mine. So when I found this strawberry whiskey lemonade cocktail, I was super excited. Now of course you can just take regular strawberry lemonade that you can buy in the store and add whiskey to it, but that’s not as fun and you don’t have the honor of looking like a true professional bartender.
This recipe typically calls for 1/3 cups of strawberry syrup, however, I prefer it a little less sweet so I scaled it back to 1/4 cup which I think balances well. It’s all based on preference though so if you like it a little sweeter, feel free to add as much syrup as you’d like! It’s your creation after all. Also, when it comes to the strawberry syrup, you can add the store bought version (my preference) which you can find at stores like Total Wine. Or, if you feel like getting down in the kitchen, you can make your own from scratch by following a recipe.
The combination of the whiskey with the strawberries and the lemonade creates such a complimentary and refreshing drink. You don’t taste the bitters of the whiskey and could probably sip on this drink all day long. My favorite part is the garnish though. By adding the strawberries and the lemon slice to the top, you get to enjoy a little treat either while you’re drinking or after it’s all gone. Not to mention it makes it look really cute. So sit back and relax in a beach chair while sipping on a strawberry whiskey lemonade cocktail. Cheers!
