There’s nothing like drinking a fruity cocktail on the beach while you let the sun shine on you. Well, we can dream right? This tequila sunrise cocktail will give you all the vacay vibes with every sip.
Tequila and sprite or tequila and soda water have always been my go-to. I wouldn’t normally think to combine an acidic juice like orange juice with it but they really do compliment each other very well. Adding the sweet grenadine and the fruit garnish really gives it a tropical feel.
Making a tequila sunrise is something I have wanted to do for awhile but for some reason, I had always thought it was way more complicated than it actually is. However, it’s super simple and it requires very minimal ingredients and probably ones that you already have. Minus the grenadine. That one was a little trickier to find but now I have a reason to use it. It was also probably the most intimidating portion to add to this concoction. Because you want to make sure that the grenadine sits at the bottom and doesn’t combine with the rest of the cocktail, you have to be strategic about how you pour it in. But don’t worry, it’s actually super easy when you turn the spoon upside down and pour it over the back. It’ll flow straight to the bottom and you’ll look like a pro!
The tequila sunrise cocktail is one that we’ve all probably drank once while on vacation. But, since we aren’t really able to vacation anywhere, bring the beach to you and taste the delicious tropical flavors. Cheers!
